We could not be more pleased with our new logo. It’s tells the customer exactly what we offer and it looks slightly rustic/old-school with a modern flare.
After consulting with multiple companies in our area, we decided to go with an online market called www.Crowdspring.com. I must admit that I was almost 100% against this decision, but this is a partnership….I just thank God that everything went well. What is Crowdspring? Well this is from their site..
crowdSPRING is the world’s #1 marketplace for custom logo design, web design, graphic design, industrial design and writing services. Entrepreneurs and small businesses simply post what they need, when they need it and how much they want to pay. Once posted, over 123,000 creatives from 200 countries around the world submit an average of 110 concepts for the buyer to choose from until they find “the one.”
If you Google “crowdspring reviews” you will find a whole slew of people putting them down and giving their “first-hand” customer account, which is why I was TOTALLY against going this route for our logo. I’m the type of person that if I see one negative comment I’m automatically programed to believe it.
However, we honestly had a wonderful experience and got a lot of great logos submitted, way more than I expected. It was soooo hard to choose our favorite. The site allows you to select your favorites then poll your friends and family to get outsider feedback. After you select the winner, you work directly with the designer to tweak the final design to your exact specifications. Overall the entire process took about a month and we have the perfect design for our company!
Without further adieu I present our logo.
We have already participated in our first event, a jambalaya cook-off! Don’t we look professional? From right to left, Jacob(my husband and business owner), Me, Scott(business owner), and Mr. Randy(Jacob’s dad). The third partner was unable to make it because…..he was proposing to his girlfriend! We are soooooo happy for them!!!!
Anyway, the moral of this post today is that you cannot believe everything you read on the internet and sometimes you just have to take a chance and pray for the best 😦 I was 100% sure that we would get screwed after reading all the negative comments about Crowdspring. We had a great experience with this company, I do not work for them and I’m not getting compensation for a positive review….but I wouldn’t turn it down either ;). We have recommended their services and will continue to recommend them to our friends. We received exactly what we wanted out of a logo and only spent a fraction of what other companies in our area would have charged.
